I think that I made positive changes with global and local revisions throughout the first and final draft of the global section. In my first draft, I was lacking in the global aspect by not giving enough evidence for the readers to understand the overall thesis. Before starting English 110, my essays usually consisted of one piece of evidence but I learned that the more evidence you give the readers the more the reader understands the topic. I also counteracted an argument with two authors which I definitely would’ve not done before starting English 110. I counteracted an argument when it comes to the sweatshops and how Powel says that they are a good atmosphere whereas the Foxconn isn’t. Before people would think that it was the other way around. This counteracted argument not only connects two authors but gives insight into two different ideas (the bad and the good). In my local revisions, I have made an exceedingly amount of progress from the first to the final draft. At the beginning of a topic when we first start the first and second drafts, I tend to not read what I write because I would rather write down everything that I am thinking about at that moment so I don’t forget. In the end, I forget to read it over and find out that I made many mistakes throughout the whole essay. Now I look over what I write at the end of the essay and find the mistakes I can see clearly. I tend to not have many local comments at the end of the second draft. Overall I think I have grown to be a better writer from these local and global workshops. I have attached the first and final drafts from the Globalization section.
